The more stories to add to a compilation the better you may stay anonymous, we understand your fear so far. This is for both mothers and fathers who have experienced corruption or injustice within Wake County FAMILY COURT.
Wow! I have encountered more knowledgeable paralegals who have a much better grasp on domestic law than she does. First of all, she is not a parent and has never been married and has a limited scope of familial relationships. This is, by far, the most problematic thing about the way she makes decisions about families. Other than ALWAYS being late, she rarely, if ever, reviews evidence provided her and makes life-altering decisions based on he said/she said testimony without making either party present actual evidence of what's being alleged. She will not acknowledge when she has made clerical errors and often allows attorneys (usually males) get away with the same; presenting sloppily-prepared and often incorrect forms, evidence and discovery. She is always in a hurry and will let you know that she does not keep up with the amount allotted each side which allows one side more time than the other and not providing them with enough time to properly present their case. And her math skills are NON-EXISTENT. She will order support based on one's gross pay rather than their net pay then wonder why that party has to apply for indigency status later on. Her egregious mistakes are dangerous to families trying to financially support their families because she does not know how to properly read and assess tax returns, pay stubs and proof of living expenses and needs. I have always been partial to voting a one-party ticket but this is one Democrat I would NEVER vote for. If you end up with her as your judge, prepare to be shocked at her bias and make sure you find a way to horde and/or hide your finances because she is going to make a multitude of mistakes that will eventually cost you a fortune.

DeletePLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get this woman OFF the bench!! I was insulted TWICE by her in the last twelve months. The first time, when she ordered JOINT custody between myself and my CONVICTED abuser ex-husband. TWICE convicted of domestic violence against myself and clearly flying in the face of the NC Bar Association recommendations AND the American Bar Association. His lawyer FAILED to prove a significant change in circumstances OR how the any change in custody would benefit the minor children for whom I had been thr primary caregiver since BIRTH - one of which he SLEPT through! The biggest insult came just last week when she then ordered ME to pay HIM child support! How she got eleceted, how she passed the bar, I will NEVER know, but she had been our judge since his second arrest for stalking, the first was for assault on a female. Knowing the history, knowing case precendent, this INCOMPETENT judge STILL used her own personal, inexperienced preference to order joint custody. My children are miserable, oppressed and I now have a suicidal 12 year old! And yet, she is still on the bench. It is a disgrace to justice, the law and everything that the court is supposed to protect. I pray hard that she is NOT re-elected today!
